Waitin for caffeine to wear off is a fuckin pain
I get really offended when people tell me I’m going to hell for being gay because I feel like they’re overlooking all the other perfectly valid reasons that I am going to hell.
Dipper has depression and gender dysphoria cause hes still a trans boy in my world fight me. Panic disorder too as he gets older he develops a fear of being trapped or cornered and is easily launched into a panic attack when things don’t go to plan. Hirsch suggested he also has a phobia of puppets lets keep that
Mabel could also have anxiety and copes with humour. Her anxiety is related to others perceptions and she has an urge to appear entertaining and fun even when she feels low. When she is rejected she becomes very panicky in extreme cases shuts herself away completely (sweater town)
I can see Norman start doing things like skin picking and wrist scratching when he haves panic attacks
If I project even more, Mabel makes everyone make him friendship bracelets to pull on instead of scratching and he wears them constantly
my personal style is called “i don’t have the money for my preferred aesthetic”
I’m gonna talk about characters having anxiety to deal with my own growing anxiety right now
Norman probably has a whole host of things what with seeing dead people and shit. Probably has problems with recognising reality and hallucinates (its canon that he sees some shit. Serious shit)
From what I remember in the movie he voluntarily isolates himself, rarely speaks or explains himself unless its necessary and shows coldness, even hostility to those who try and encroach on his personal space without permission even if they mean well
Which are all textbook signs of anxiety disorder and social anxiety. He could potentially develop depression too
I’ve seen people headcanon him as autistic too which can explain his reluctance to communicate with the living. I remember seeing something along the lines of ‘ghosts are usually both very open about emotion and have a limited range. They are usually very upset and suffering while in limbo even if they claim otherwise. Living people are more subtle and capable of feeling anything in a way thats hard for Norman to read. So he prefers the company of the dead’
Idk how appropriate that is I’d need more education on autistic stuff
